Due to a technical issue with one of our aircraft, the Noumea-Sydney-Noumea rotation on January 14 had to be split into two flights operated by an Airbus A320 Neo, as per the schedule below:

Noumea to Sydney Flight SB140:

  • Departure from Noumea: 8:05 AM
  • Arrival in Sydney: 11:25 AM

Noumea to Sydney Flight SB142:

  • Departure from Noumea: 5:05 PM
  • Arrival in Sydney: 8:25 PM

Sydney to Noumea Flight SB141:

  • Departure from Sydney: 12:55 PM
  • Arrival in Noumea: 3:40 PM

Sydney to Noumea Flight SB143:

  • Departure from Sydney: 9:55 PM
  • Arrival in Noumea: 12:40 AM on January 15

Passengers concerned have been notified of their flight time via email.

Following the earthquake that occurred in Vanuatu on December 17, 2024, authorities have announced the closure of the airport for all international flights until December 22 at 4:00 PM local time.

As a result:

  • The rotation scheduled for December 19, operated by Air Calédonie in codeshare with Aircalin (SB3240 / SB3241), has been canceled.
  • The rotation scheduled for December 20, operated by Aircalin (SB230 / SB231), is canceled.
  • The rotation scheduled for December 23, operated by Air Calédonie in codeshare with Aircalin (SB3240 / SB3241), has been canceled.

Those flights are not reschedulled

Flights between Nouméa and Port-Vila on December 26, and 27 are maintained.

In response, the following exceptional commercial measures are in place:

  • Free modification (with possible fare adjustment), allowing you to postpone your trip to a later date, subject to availability.
  • Free cancellation with a full refund.

PASSENGERS PARIS-NOUMEA

Flight SB501 Paris-Nouméa will be operated by a Hifly Airbus A330-200 with a modified itinerary, Paris-Singapore-Nouméa at the following times:

  • Departure Paris CDG 20h45, December 14 -- TERMINAL 2 C
  • Arrival in Nouméa: 06:35, December 16.  


For your information, Hifly is a European airline operating under the same regulations and standards as Aircalin, an IATA member and certified by IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit).

The Hifly crew and our Aircalin cabin crew on board will be at your service to make your trip a pleasant one.

 As this aircraft is not part of our fleet, some elements of our onboard service are subject to change. Also, the purchase of excess baggage at the airport may not be authorized.

  • SB740: departure from Noumea on December 15 at 9.20am and arrival in Singapour at 3:25pm. 
  • SB741: departure from Singapour on Decembre 15 at 5:25pm and arrival in Noumea at 5:30am (+1).

In the current context, Aircalin is adapting to the travel demands of its customers.

To enable you to [re]travel with peace of mind, the company confirms the following flight schedule from July 22 to October 26, 2024, with flights available on all booking platforms:


- SINGAPORE: 5 rotations per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays
- TOKYO: 1 rotation a week on Saturdays or Mondays until September 1, when direct flights are cancelled. Japan remains an available destination via Singapore or Sydney.
- SYDNEY: 2 rotations a week on Tuesdays or Thursdays, and Fridays.
- BRISBANE: 1 rotation a week on Sundays, 2nd frequency on Wednesdays during school vacations.
- MELBOURNE: direct flights cancelled, destination still available via Sydney or Brisbane
- AUCKLAND: 1 rotation a week on Sundays (except on 28th of July), 2nd frequency on Fridays during school vacations
- WALLIS NANDI: 1 rotation a week on Saturdays in July, then 2 rotations a week on Mondays and Saturdays, 3rd frequency on Thursdays in October.
- PAPEETE: 1 rotation per week via Nandi on Tuesdays. Direct flights cancelled.
- PORT-VILA: 1 rotation per week on Fridays during school vacations.

In addition, given the suspension of Air New-Zealand flights between Nouméa and Auckland until December 11 and Qantas flights between Nouméa and Brisbane until September 8, Aircalin is no longer able to offer codeshare flights operated by Qantas and Air New Zealand on these routes.
